G.I. JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA TRAILER

I know this isn’t a game, this is a film. (I’m pretty good at telling the difference) However, this is G.I. Joe which means I can talk about it all I want and I get to share with everyone the new international trailer. If you’re my age, you most likely grew up with G.I. Joe. If you’re hardcore like I was, you dressed up in camouflage, rocked a mo-hawk and even put on some badass weight lifting gloves while playing with those plastic, lifeless G.I. Joe toy soldiers when you were a kid. Oh, you didn’t do that? haha.. uhh, me neither.

I was feeling a bit skeptical at first when hearing they were going to make a G.I Joe movie but after watching this trailer, I’m stoked! Then add to that the fact that Double Helix Games here in Irvine, Ca are currently working on G.I. Joe the game, I wonder if we have the #1 Summer Blockbuster right here?

What I don’t know about the game is if Double Helix is creating the game based off the movie or if they’re going a whole other direction. For the sake of a good quality game, I hope they’re doing their own thing. We all know what happens to games created based off of movies. Plus, it looks like Marlon Wayans has a role in the new movie. He will probably bring some comedic relief to the film, but if I have to play him or see him in the game, I’m thinking it will be a bit on the cheesy side? What do you think?
